This website is dedicated to sharing my journey.  My mission is to help you and your family weed through the drama that exists all around us.. it seems as though every grocery store shelf is packed with harmful options and that can feel very overwhelming.  Here, you will find important and relevant information that you can easily apply in your own lives (without having to deal with the learning curve that I did)..  Simplicity is key in our hectic and busy world!  So join me as an educated consumer, and surround yourself in the options that lead to nourishment and wellbeing, and lets have fun doing it!  Be inspired by these words .. Who am I?

Good question.. don’t we spend our whole lives figuring that out?  .. In all seriousness I struggled with including an about the author page because I found it irrelevant.  My focus is the content and providing quality information on how to put a healthy twist on life.  Then, as I became more involved in following other blogs, I realized that knowing about the author made the reading experience more enjoyable.  The opinions of close friends and family was that people do want to know.. so here goes..  Here is me and my family..



I am a mother of two beautiful little girls, and a wife to an amazing, supportive, and hard working husband.  I am a runner, an amateur  chef, a foodie, a wine drinker (pictured) a coffee lover, a yoga doer, a whole foods crusader, and a DIY experimenter.  Both my husband and I love creating new recipes (admittedly he is more creative than me) and a lot of the food formulas  you find on this website come from him.  I am an absolute believer in maintaining balance in your life and never apologizing for it.  I love animals (I have worked with them and for them for over 13 years) but I cannot keep a plant alive..

I do not love paying bills, getting gas or buying in bulk… But enough about me, tell me about you!  What are your thoughts about our food options and American labeling systems?  Or better yet, what tips do you have for me?

Everyday we are all faced with the fact that the easiest choices are almost never the healthiest ones.  My personal quest for as long as I can remember has been to utilize all resources available to educate myself on living a healthy lifestyle.  It just feels right to be armed with information that helps protect myself and my family.  When my daughters were born this interest intensified…

Now my ambition is to help You adore Your health..

I aspire to combine science and common sense (with a little bit of humor) to bring you the recipes, articles and information that will help you live a simple, nourishing lifestyle.. with that being said, I also realize that within our society it can be extremely tough to always be bombarded with the negativity of all the things that are “wrong” with our food labeling, food systems, and product processing.  Remember, balance is key.. do what you can, when you can.
