No Space for Your Own Garden? Shared Gardening is Your Answer!

Living in condos or apartments for most of my young adult life, I had always succumbed to the thought that I was unable to have my own garden.  Recently the most amazing idea was brought to my attention, “shared gardening!”  This concept was created for people just like I was, very interested in organic gardening with no place to do it.

In researching the subject I came across a website called www.sharedearth.com.  They have actually taken the idea a step further.  The website was designed to be a hub for prospective gardeners as well as for land owners that have space to garden but potentially need help, or don’t have the time or knowledge to garden it themselves…  Perfect!  Land owners get to make more efficient use of their land. Gardeners and farmers get access to that land.  If you are starting an organic garden please reference my “Starting an Organic Garden? Read this first!” article on buying the proper seeds.

If you live in the San Diego area, there is a shared gardening area that you can reference through the San Diego Community Garden Network.

Otherwise, do a search or utilize www.sharedearth.com to be linked up with a garden in your area.  Happy planting!!
